How we are dealing with Covid-19

Good To Go England.png

We are delighted to be able to open again from 4th July and welcome guests back to Glebe Hall's holiday cottages. We hope your holiday will be just the relaxing break you need, to ensure you can relax as much as possible about Covid-19 whilst here we have consulted government guidelines and put the following measures in place:

Your cottage

We have installed contactless check in, and the key pads holding your keys are sanitised every changeover.

We ask that guests check out by 9am and you arrive no earlier than 5pm to allow for the additional cleaning and sanitising required between each guest.

We are ensuring a two part clean is implemented each changeover in accordance with government guidelines, disinfecting surfaces, washing all crockery etc.

We are using anti-viral cleaning products.

Our cleaners are provided with face masks and gloves.

Our linen is hired in from Elis who boil wash and ensure the highest standards of sanitation. We change protectors every changeover.

We have "de-cluttered" the cottages to remove of the more decorative items which are not designed to be washed/cleaned as often or as intensely as is now required, such as cushions and throws. We have made materials such as information books and appliance manuals digital and they will be emailed to you in advance of your stay.

Should you have any issues during your stay we provide contact details and will attempt to resolve your issue via phone/email. If this is not possible we will liaise with you to find a time when you away from your cottage to allow a professional to enter.

The shared cottage courtyard

We have divided the courtyard so each cottage has it's own section to ensure social distancing.

We have provided each cottage with it's own furniture and BBQs.

The pool

Our pool is outdoor and chlorine treated so fortunately we are able to open it, we regularly check our chlorine levels to ensure they kill Covid-19.

To ensure social distancing we ask that one household use the water at a time, it is possible to socially distancing around poolside, if there is another household waiting we ask you remain in the water no longer than an hour to ensure everyone has their turn

We cannot provide sun loungers or pool toys whilst the pandemic is still at this stage

The games room

To ensure social distancing we ask that one household uses the games room at a time, and for no longer than an hour to ensure everyone has a turn.

We cannot provide books or games whilst the pandemic is at this stage.

We provide spray and cloth and ask that you wipe down all surfaces touched before leaving for the next guests.

The laundry room

To ensure social distancing we ask that one household use the laundry room at a time.

We are providing soluble laundry bags in your cottage, so soiled laundry can be bagged up in your cottage and not shaken out in the laundry room.

We provide spray and cloth and ask that you wipe down all surfaces before leaving.

Should you fall ill during your stay

We very much hope all our guests have a happy healthy holiday but in the circumstance that guests should start displaying symptoms of Covid-19 during their stay government guidelines require guests to inform us immediately, they are required to go for a test at one of the local test centres down here, guests should self isolate in their cottage until they receive their results (providing their booking has not ended). If positive, guests must leave immediately. If for some reason this is not possible, then all fees for bookings affected by this self-isolation will be borne by the guest.

Our cancellation policy

Our standard policy will remain in place unless the government announces lockdown is re-imposed and we are ordered to close again.

Our standard policy is: If the booking is cancelled before 23:30, 28 day(s) before check-in the charge is 25% of total, less than 28 day(s) before check-in the charge is 50% of total, less than 7 day(s) before check-in the charge is 100% of total

Should lockdown be re-imposed and we are closed again then we will cancel all bookings booked directly through our website for free.

We hope you find these measures both reasonable and helpful. Should you have any concerns or questions, please do get in touch.

We hope you stay safe and well. We look forward to welcoming you to one of our lovely little cottages soon.
