Gunwalloe/Church Cove

A quiet sandy cove, with "Church of the Storms" nestled into it's side. Cafe nearby Easter - Sep.

Kynance Cove

A show-stopper! Walk down the path and suddenly this iconic cove opens up it's turquoise treasure and green islands.

Seal Sanctuary

See the seals, sea lions, penguins and otters in this wonderful sanctuary near the head of the Helford River.

Helford River

Hire a boat at St Anthony or dinghy sail with the Helford River Sailing Club or Childrens Sailing Trust.

Penrose/Loe Bar

Penrose is a beautiful National Trust Estate. Walk through the Estate to Loe Bar and around to Porthleven.

Mawgan Playground

A 10 minute walk from Glebe Hall at the top of the village is a great playground. Perfect if the little ones still have energy to burn off at the end of the day!

Coverack

Lots of activities in this small harbour and bay, like stand up paddle boarding (SUP) can be found here, besides fish and chips and The Paris Inn.

Porthleven

Foodie heaven!  Lots of fabulous restaurants (and the best Origin coffee!) surrounding this fishing harbour

Lizard Point

Discover the most southernly point of the UK! Follow the beautiful South West Coast path or stop for a cream tea.

Gardens

There are plenty of lovely sub-tropical gardens nearby to visit. Our favourites are Trebah & Glendurgan on the Helford River.

Helford

The pretty village of Helford is lovely to walk around. Have a pint at The Shipwrights Arms and then catch the ferry over the water to The Ferry Boat Inn. Or check out the Helford River Sailing Club.

Tremayne Quay

A lovely walk through the ancient woodland and along the Helford River to Tremayne Quay on a National Trust path. Stop at Gear Farm for a pasty of coffee!

Fishermans Beach

Also known as Gunwalloe Beach. Stop for a pint at the Halzephron Inn afterwards.

We are lucky to have some of the best restaurants right on our doorstep - The Ship Inn just up the hill, and Cafe Flora & The New Yard in the Trelowarren Estate.
